Trio represents TWU at American Society for Virology conference

Biology honored with faculty excellence awards

Texas Woman’s University celebrated faculty and staff excellence during the 2023 awards celebration April 20. The ceremony took place on the Denton campus and was livestreamed to the Dallas and Houston campuses.

Biology students named Chancellor's Student Research Scholars

A special category of recognition, the Chancellor’s Student Research Scholars, began in 2004 to recognize students who exhibit outstanding achievement in their research or creative art endeavors.

Sigma Xi hosts Michael Bergel

The TWU chapter of Sigma Xi, a science and engineering research honor society, will host Biology Associate Professor Michael Bergel, PhD, at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, in room 251 of the Ann Stuart Science Complex (ASSC) for a Science Cafe conversation titled "The lessons cancer taught us and the lessons we are teaching cancer."

A scientist who means business

While much of humanity spent the COVID lockdown binging in front of a television, Juliet Spencer was improving herself. In addition to virtually conducting her copious duties as director of TWU's School of the Sciences and as a biology professor, Spencer was earning an MBA from TWU.
