Our Facilities

Denton Campus

The Denton Campus is home to our fitness and recreation facility that includes a 30-foot climbing wall, basketball court, women’s and men’s locker room, weight and cardio areas, three group exercise studios, and an outdoor adventure center. We also offer an indoor pool, outdoor intramural field, sand volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts.

Hours of operation vary between Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

  • Monday-Friday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Houston Center

Make use of fitness facilities at our Houston Center, open six days a week. The center features cardio and weight machines, along with locker rooms for men and women. It is located on the second floor. 

Hours of Operation 

  • Monday-Sunday: 5 a.m. to midnight.

Dallas Center

Women’s and men’s locker rooms, cardio equipment, free weights and various exercise equipment are free to use for all students at the TWU T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences-Dallas Center. The fitness center is located on the third floor.

Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Sunday: 6 a.m. to midnight.


Our Programs

Group Exercise Classes

Practice breathing in your favorite Yoga pose, push yourself in a cycle class, or dance to the beat of Zumba®. Exercise classes are available to all TWU students. Most classes are free, with select classes available at student rates.


Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports program is structured to provide students, faculty and staff an opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive and recreational sport leagues, tournaments and special events.


Open Recreation

Play an organized game of basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer or dodgeball. Every open recreation is officiated by intramural officials and is free to participate. 


Outdoor Adventure Program

The Outdoor Adventure Program provides students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to participate in outdoor adventure trips, the outdoor rental center, and the rock climbing wall.


Personal Training

Get one-on-one advice and a new source of encouragement for your personal fitness plan. Personal training is available to all TWU students at student rates.


Spirit Teams

The Pioneer Pride Dance Team debuts in 2017, performing at various school functions, athletic events, and community events.
