Constitution Day kicks off TWU Civic Engagement Activities

While Texas Woman’s University has historically promoted civic engagement among its students, recent initiatives beginning on Constitution Day demonstrate a renewed commitment.

Student Health Services to relocate and temporarily close

To make way for the new Student Union in Denton, Texas Woman’s University will relocate Student Health Services (SHS) from Hubbard Hall to Jones Hall. The move will begin on Friday, Sept. 14 and will continue through Monday, Sept. 17. 

TWU offers donated bikes for student use

Texas Woman’s University officials announced that bikes will be available for students and employees to use on campus for free staring Aug. 27 in a new pilot program.

Fall 2018 Housing Move-In and Street Closures

 

Aug. 16, 2018 — DENTON — Residential students will be moving back to campus beginning Wednesday, Aug. 22, and their return will cause some street closures and rerouting.

Volunteers will be assisting residents with move-in and pedestrian traffic is expected to be high. Drivers should expect traffic delays and congestion along Bell Avenue and University Drive near campus Aug. 22-24.

TWU wins integration award

Texas Woman’s University was recently announced as one of three winners of the 2018 Excellence Awards by CBORD, an integrated software solutions company.
