Advertising Request Form

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Check out our handy guide below to learn how to request work, what we do, and more!

How long does it take?

Generally it will take three weeks to get everything designed for your project. You will also ideally need two weeks to promote your event properly. When possible, please request art at least five weeks before the event. Timelines may vary, but this is a good general guideline.

How do I request promotional art?

To make a job request, fill out this form. The more information you are able to give about your event or request, the easier it will be for us to complete it in a timely manner. Art requests require up to a three week turn around time. Since you ideally need two weeks to promote your event, making requests at least five weeks prior to the date of the event is preferred.

For student organizations, we have also created templates to allow for quicker turn design requests. These can be modified by our designers and out for promotion faster than a custom created design. Student organizations can request custom designs through our Advertising Request Form.

How does the design process work?

Once we receive your request and a designer becomes available, they will be assigned to your project. After a request for art has been made we then move communication about the job to a project management system called LiquidPlanner to communicate, show initial designs and then deliver final art. You will receive an invitation in the email address you list on the job request to interact with your designer on LiquidPlanner.

The designer will create an initial design for one of your project’s pieces. Once that piece is approved by you and anyone else who needs to review it, the designer will generate the remaining pieces. If there are any changes to the design, they should be done before approval of the first piece. It saves time for everyone to change one piece before creating all the other pieces rather than making changes to multiple pieces.

What if I have an idea of what I want the design to look like?

When filling out the request form, you can include descriptions and links to what you have in mind for the design. If you don’t have an idea for a style or look for the project, we will generate one. The designer will create a layout based on information listed on the job request and within TWU brand standards. We want you to be happy with the end result, any direction you can give us on the front end is much appreciated and gets the job done faster for you.

How can I get my event promoted on TWU Events?

Social media posts that don't require us to create art need to be submitted by Wednesday to be posted on TWU Events Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram the following week.

How can my organization get a Student Org Spotlight?

If you are interested in seeing your student organization as one of our Student Org Spotlights, fill out our Google form. Length of time between submission and posting will vary based on many factors, so we cannot guarantee a time frame.

I don’t need design work, just printing. Can you do that?

Design Services for Student Life does not send art to vendors for printing in most cases. Each department sends their own art. Preferred print vendors can be found on the Special Procurements website. You can find listings for preferred vendors for promotional items on the Marketing and Communications website.
