Student Government Association

What is SGA?
The Student Government Association (SGA) at Texas Woman's University represents all members of the student body through its various branches. Whether you are a new, returning or graduate student, every student has an opportunity to shape the campus community by participating and getting involved. SGA at TWU is unique in that it includes the following branches:
TWU SGA Executive Board
The Executive Board serves as the executive branch of SGA and leads the Student Senate branch and SGA committees through it's various positions. It is comprised of the President, Executive Vice President, Associate Vice President for Internal Affairs, Associate Vice President for Student Organizations, Associate Vice President for Finance, Associate Vice President for Public Relations, and the Chief of Staff.
TWU Student Senate
The Student Senate is the legislative branch of SGA and serves as the active voice of the student body. Notably the Senate passed legislation regarding TWU's smoking policy that was put into effect June 1, 2011, as well as adding campus amenities to enrich the lives of our students.
