She’s a high flyer – on the mat and in the classroom

Brooke Speights was one of 47 accounting students from across the state to receive the Accounting Excellence Award from The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. She graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in accounting from Texas Woman’s in May 2025 and is returning to Denton as a graduate student to pursue a master of science in accountancy.
Visiting faculty member lands coveted fellowship

Texas Woman’s Dallas visiting assistant professor Tianyi Li, who teaches health care administration at the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship, was just one of 27 professionals from around the country to receive the Founders’ Fellow recognition from the ASPA. The ASPA is the leading professional membership association for public service.

Vivian Orellana is graduating from Texas Woman’s Houston campus with a dual Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration (MHA/MBA) degree with an emphasis in global health. It would be an understatement to say that her path to obtaining these degrees was challenging.
Education abroad experience leads to overseas career

Texas Woman's University graduate student Jackie Farias felt a strong pull to Ireland, leading her to participate in an internship program in Dublin through TWU’s Education Abroad. After completing her internship, Farias was offered a full-time position and has been living in Dublin since January 2025.
