Student chapter named finalist in business case competition

In just its first year as a student organization, the Texas Woman’s American Marketing Association chapter was named one of 10 finalists in the AMA Collegiate Case Competition. 

International competition sharpens business students’ skills

A TWU College of Business management information systems class participated in an international virtual business challenge in fall 2022. The exercise included 6,189 students from 140 universities in 43 countries on six continents. Three TWU students and their respective teams were selected as finalist teams. 

A scientist who means business

While much of humanity spent the COVID lockdown binging in front of a television, Juliet Spencer was improving herself. In addition to virtually conducting her copious duties as director of TWU's School of the Sciences and as a biology professor, Spencer was earning an MBA from TWU.

New language, culture added to mom’s challenges

It wasn’t the easiest path for Carmen Natal Coriano to earn a Master of Healthcare Administration. 

Carmen, who is a mother of four children, received her bachelor's of science degree in nursing from Bayamon Central University in Puerto Rico. She moved to Houston in 2016 looking for more opportunities and a better education for her children. 

Graduate says college experience was business degree bonus

Brooke Morlet is graduating from Texas Woman’s University in December with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the College of Business. In January, she’ll start a new job as a tax staff accountant with a regional accounting firm in Dallas. For the last two years, TWU professors and her mentor have guided and lifted Morlet to heights that she didn’t think were possible.
