Family Graduation Celebration wins international award

The Association of College Unions International (ACUI) recently recognized Family Graduation Celebration at Texas Woman’s University as the 2018 Collaborative Program of the Year. The university’s Student Union and CARE worked with 10 other collaborative partners to create this unique experience for students and their families.

Empowering Women as Leaders provides scholarships and mentoring to TWU students

On Friday, Feb. 2, 16 Texas Woman’s University students received scholarships and were matched with mentors through Empowering Women as Leaders, a nonprofit organization that helps reshape women’s lives through education and mentoring.

TWU Redbud Awards Recognize Students

Last night, Texas Woman’s University announced the winners of this year’s Redbud Awards, an annual tradition that honors the accomplishments of TWU’s student leaders and organizations as well as faculty and staff organization advisors.

Terry Scholars program at TWU continues to grow

Texas Woman's University will welcome 14 new students to the Terry Scholars program this fall. The scholarship program, sponsored by the Terry Foundation, provides funding for outstanding students to attend one of 13 public universities in Texas, including TWU.

Endowment established in memory of TWU student

Jaqueline Rae Vandagriff's life was cut short 19 months ago, but her memory will live on through an endowment established by her friends and family at Texas Woman's University. The 24-year old junior, who was a lifelong vegetarian and animal lover, was studying nutrition at TWU. The fund will commemorate her life by supporting an internship in the area of health and wellbeing, with a preference for students majoring in Nutrition and Food Sciences.
