What We Do
Our department publishes Inside TWU, a weekly e-newsletter distributed to all TWU faculty and staff members that highlights the events, achievements and activities across all campuses.
Marketing & Communication has the primary responsibility for managing and protecting TWU's brand and identity. We develop the key messages that identify the uniqueness of Texas Woman's University and work to convey these messages consistently and clearly.
We promote the university with local, regional and national media outlets, writing news releases and sharing the stories about the accomplishments of TWU's students, alumni, faculty and staff.
The visuals that accompany our messages are important. We ensure we get the right picture to convey meaning and provide inspiration. These images are used in our online, digital communications as well as the printed ones.
Recruitment Marketing & Creative Services
Working closely with Admissions and Enrollment, our department creates recruitment materials, university advertisements and digital marketing used to attract potential students to TWU. Additionally, we develop templates for brochures and presentations, that academic departments can use to promote their programs. We also keep in stock giveaways with TWU logos that are free to departments and/or programs for specific student recruitment activities — college fairs, information sessions, direct mail, etc.
Marketing & Communication develops the social media strategy for the university and establishes guidelines that all social media accounts representing TWU MUST follow.
The Web Team, in concert with the digital content creators, manage the outwardly-facing web sites used to recruit new students and inform the general public about university activities. Our team ensures the website content is consistent with the university's brand, messaging, image and strategic focus.
