Summer Housing

The information on this page is for Summer 2026.

Students wanting to live on campus this summer must be enrolled in a TWU summer class. To meet this enrollment and residency requirement, summer residents must take at least one class during a summer session other than the 3-Week session. Summer residents not enrolled in a summer class meeting after July 4 must be enrolled in Fall 2026 classes to continue to live on campus.

The application is available in the housing portal starting March 16. There is no summer application deadline.

Summer housing is located in Mary's Hall at Parliament Village in double and single rooms. Family housing is available in Lowry Woods apartments.

Summer meal plans are required for summer residents in Parliament Village. The correct meal plan of Dining Dollars will automatically be added to the student's account based on their selected license term.

There will be retail dining options open this summer, as well as the Dining Hall. Hours will be available online and on social media. All summer meal plans expire August 7.

Summer Housing Scholarship

TWU Housing & Dining supports undergraduate students as they work ahead or catch up on their course requirements during the summer. Scholarship funds are limited so apply early! Priority will be given to those residents eligible for two or more sessions. A summer room scholarship is available to summer undergraduate residents who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Current TWU undergraduate students, enrolled in Spring 2026 classes AND Fall 2026 classes.
  • Have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at time of application and at the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
  • Be a current TWU student in good academic and conduct standing.
  • Complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA.
  • Enroll in and complete six to nine unique credit hours per summer 5, 6, or 7-Week session to receive a scholarship for that specific session or nine to twelve unique credit hours between 6/1 and 8/7 to receive the full summer housing scholarship.
  • If at least one of the criteria above is not satisfied at the time of review, the applicant will not receive the scholarship. Review will be May 1.

Example 1: A 3-credit class during the 13-Week session, a 3-credit class during a 5-Week session, and a 3-credit class during the 10-Week session equals 9 credits (3 unique classes) between 6/1 – 8/7, with no gap in enrollment. This person would receive the full summer housing scholarship of $1,300.

Example 2: A 3-credit class during the 3-Week session, a 3-credit class during the 10-Week session, and a 3-credit class during the 6-Week session equals 3 credits in June and 6 credits July 1 – August 7. The 3 credits from their 10-week class can only be counted once which is why they only have 6 credits instead of 9 credits to use toward the scholarship requirements. They are eligible for the $1,134 housing scholarship June 30 – August 7.

The maximum summer housing scholarship amount is $1,300.

To Apply for the Summer Housing Scholarship

  • Current residential students will not pay any application fees or a deposit.
  • New summer residential students must pay the $150 application fee and housing deposit. If a new summer resident has already paid the $150 application fee and deposit for a future application, they may be eligible for a summer fee waiver application by reaching out to the Housing department.
  • Apply for summer housing through the housing portal. On the application, you will designate if you meet the scholarship eligibility requirements and want to be considered for the scholarship. You will then receive an additional step in your application process to complete.

Apply for the scholarship via the summer application & license by April 30, 2026.
