$500 Scholarship Drawing!
In partnership with the Graduate School, Enrollment Management has generously offered eight $500 scholarships to be given away during Graduate Student Appreciation Week. Enter for a chance to be awarded a $500 scholarship.* Recipients will be chosen randomly and announced the week of April 13th. To qualify, students must be degree-seeking, planning to register in the summer and/or fall 2026, and submit the registration form by the deadline: Friday, April 10, 2026, 5:00 p.m.

Amplify Your Impact LinkedIn Giveaway
Amplify Your Impact is celebrating and amplifying the public-facing work of our graduate students by featuring it on LinkedIn throughout the week. Got a community workshop or public exhibit to promote? How about showing off a public-facing article or podcast? Submit your public-facing work to be highlighted and be entered into a raffle for some fabulous content creation equipment to continue your work! Join the Amplify Your Impact LinkedIn Group to connect with other thought leaders across the university system. This event and promotional series is sponsored by the TWU Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).
Explore Grad School
In conjunction with Graduate Student Appreciation Week, Graduate Admissions is hosting an "Exploring Graduate School" series of events, many of which will be virtual. Sessions will include "First Gen Again," focused on the transition from being a first-generation college student to a first-generation graduate student; a general Grad School 101 session; and a session on Funding Graduate School. And many more! While some events are tailored for current TWU graduate students, many are designed with prospective graduate students in mind. This is a great opportunity for a friend or family member who is interested in graduate school — please share! Check out the full list of events and register. Another great opportunity to share with anyone interested in graduate school is the TWU Health Professions Fair (Denton Campus).

Graduate Student Photo Contest
As part of the Graduate Student Appreciation Week celebrations, the Graduate School is promoting a Graduate Student Photo Contest. We invite graduate students to submit an original photo (one photo per student) that captures the contest’s theme: What does it mean to be a graduate student? Grad students will vote to determine the winner(s) who will receive a box of Graduate School S.W.A.G. and some special prizes! This event is sponsored by the Graduate School. Photo submission deadline: Thursday, April 9, 2026. Winners will be announced the week of April 13th. Submit your photo here!
Graduate Student Study Space
Visit the Graduate Student Study Space in the Blagg-Huey Library (3rd floor) on the Denton campus for daily coffee, snacks, prizes, and other goodies. The Graduate Student Study Space is a dedicated lounge area just for graduate students! See you there! This event is sponsored by TWU Libraries.
Messages of Support
Every day during Graduate Student Appreciation Week, the Graduate School will be sending messages of support to graduate students in a morning email. Start your day with a “warm hug” from TWU Faculty, staff, and administrators. Know that you are valued and appreciated!
