Faculty initiating virtual exchange program

Dr. Brenda Moore and Dr. Angeles Nava, faculty at TWU Nelda C. Stark College of Nursing in Houston, are initiating a virtual exchange program through a grant organized by the Texas International Education Consortium and funded through The Stevens Initiative

 

TWU professor leads effort to collect medical equipment to fight pandemic

Sometimes, heroes really do wear masks.

That might be the best way to characterize Dr. Fuqin Liu during this coronavirus pandemic. Liu, an associate professor in TWU’s College of Nursing in Denton, assembled a large cadre of North Texans to collect badly needed personal protective equipment for health care professionals who are responding to the crisis.

Fredland to present in Sweden

Dr. Nina Fredland will be presenting a podium presentation at the Nursing Network for Violence Against Women International conference to be held June 30-July 2 at Malmö Live, Sweden.

 

Moore receives research funding

The Center for Regulatory Excellence has funded Brenda Moore, PhD, to conduct research titled “Exploratory Survey of Simulation Use in the Middle East and North African Nursing Programs.”
