Kenya Research Advisory Panel progresses

Center for Global Nursing Director Emeritus Joan Edwards, PhD, participated in the Kenya Research Advisory Panel (RAP) retreat Feb. 13-16 to develop a blueprint document: A National Framework for Nursing and Midwifery Research Priorities in Kenya 2022-2027. Leaders from Kenya as well as researchers from St. Paul's University, Jomo Kenyatta University Of Agriculture And Technology, the University of Nairobi, and the University of Montana joined.

CGN participates in International Festival

The Center for Global Nursing (CGN) staffed a table at the Annual TWU International Festival in Houston. The CGN provided information about upcoming trips in 2022.

Fulbright Specialist teaches in Egypt

In September 2021, Brenda Moore, PhD, completed a Fulbright Specialist project at Badr University in New Cairo, Egypt. 

Mbango collaborates in Kenya

In July 2021, CGN member Catherine Mbango, PhD, made an initial visit to collaborate with nurse colleagues in Kenya. 

Center for Global Nursing collaboration studies HIV-related stigma

Patrick Palmieri, DHSc, DPhil(Hon.), EdS, PGDip(Oxon) teamed with Joan Edwards, PhD, RNC, CNS, FAAN and Juan Leyva-Moral, PhD, MSN, RN to publish research on HIV-related attitudes of nursing faculty in three continents from six countries: Canada, Colombia, England, Peru, Spain, and the United States.
