TWU Theatre has auditions in January for Head Over Heels.

Description: “Head Over Heels is a jukebox musical comedy set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s. A hilarious, exuberant celebration of love, Head Over Heels follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts. ”

• What: Head Over Heels auditions
• When: Monday, Jan. 23, and Tuesday, Jan. 24
  • Monday: 4:30-7:30 p.m. (five minute increments)
  • Tuesday: 3:30-5 p.m. (five minute increments)
• Where: Redbud Theatre (SUHH Assembly 206)
• How: actors please prepare:
  • 32 bars of an up-tempo Broadway or rock-n-roll song. (Using the songs of the Go-Go’s is perfectly acceptable.) The actor is expected to provide music or Karaoke tracks for their audition. TWU will provide a player.
  • One minute comedic monologue from the works of either Shakespeare or Moliere, and be ready to tell a short joke.

Callbacks:

• Saturday, Jan. 28
• 3-6 p.m. in the Rehearsal Hall (SUHH Special Class Open Lab 204).
  • Callbacks will consist of dance/movement, songs from the score, and the reading of sides. All potential actors should plan to attend the entire callback. Actors should plan accordingly.
