Our Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic offers a variety of summer camps. Sessions are led by master's level graduate students under the direct supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. Language and Feeding with Friends
- Ages 3-9 (pre-k to 2nd grade)
- June 11-July 25, 2025
- Tuesdays and Thursdays for the entire summer semester
- 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
- Cost: $250
LAFF is a group-feeding program for children with sensory or motor-based feeding disorders. At LAFF, children play with a variety of foods of different textures, tastes and temperatures to increase sensory experiences and improve oral intake. Preschool Language Camp (PLC)
- Ages 3-6
- June 9 - 20, 2025
- Monday through Friday (2 weeks)
- 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Cost: $250
PLC is a fun camp for children that emphasizes language and social skills. The curriculum focuses on reinforcing and building upon basic speech and language skills. For more information, contact Kristi Cersley at kcersley@twu.edu or coms@twu.edu.
Preschool Articulation and Childhood Apraxia and Motor Planning (CHAMP)
- July 7-18, 2025
- Monday through Friday (2 weeks)
- 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Cost: $250
This camp is designed for children with speech sound disorders, including those with childhood apraxia of speech or moderate to severe phonological disorders. It takes an intensive therapy approach that integrates individualized motor learning and functional communication into engaging, play-based activities. Through a combination of music, motor, and literacy activities, children participate in both individual and group therapy sessions. Literacy Camp
- Ages 8–11 (Grades 3-5)
- July 7-18, 2025
- Monday through Friday (2 weeks)
- 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Cost: $250
Literacy camp focuses on building strong reading and spelling skills through engaging, structured activities. Campers will develop sound awareness, use word parts to improve vocabulary, decoding, and spelling, and strengthen their reading comprehension and writing abilities. Please note: For each camp, a pre-camp assessment may be required to evaluate each child's current abilities and inform individualized instruction. If needed, you may be contacted to schedule a screening during the week prior to the start of camp.
Individual Therapy
- All ages
- June 11 to July 25
- Mondays and Wednesdays
- 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays
- 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Cost: $225
Slots are available for individual therapy for children and adults in the areas of speech disorders (including apraxia, articulation and phonological disorders), voice, fluency and language. All individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes long.
