2024 Olympic summer camps

Our Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic offers a variety of summer camps. Sessions are led by master's level graduate students under the direct supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. All camps are held in the TWU Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic on the Denton campus. View camps and programs (pdf).

Preschool Language Camp (PLC)

• Ages 3-5
• June 10-21, 2024
• Monday through Friday
• 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• Cost: $250

PLC is a fun two-week camp for children 3-5 years old that emphasizes language and social skills. The curriculum focuses on reinforcing and building upon basic speech and language skills.

Gold Medal Articulation Camp

• Pre-school through early school-age children who have been identified with moderate to severe speech sound disorder
• July 1-12, 2024 (pre-camp assessment June 6-7)
• Monday through Friday
• 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• Cost: $250

Champion Articulation Camp is a fun-filled camp for pre-school through early school-age children who have been identified with moderate to severe speech sound disorder. (Required Pre-assessment June 6-7)

Literacy Camp

• Ages 8–11 (Grades 3-5)
• July 22 - August 2, 2024 (pre-camp assessment July 18-19)
• Monday through Friday
• 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• Cost: $250

Come join us for two weeks of heroic fun taking on the superpowers of successful reading and spelling. Our camp heroes will (1) conquer the code of sound awareness, (2) dare to use word parts to improve vocabulary, decoding and spelling, and (3) become champions of reading comprehension and writing.

Individual Therapy

• All ages
• June 14 – July 28, 2024
• Mondays and Wednesdays 
• 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
• Tuesdays and Thursdays
• 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. 
• Cost: $225

Slots are available for individual therapy for children and adults in the areas of speech disorders (including apraxia, articulation and phonological disorders), voice, fluency and language. All individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes long.
