Parry Distinguished Lectureship Focuses on Florence Nightingale

Texas Woman’s University College of Nursing in Houston will host the annual Parry Distinguished Lectureship from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at the Houston Endowment Auditorium, Room 2120, at TWU’s Houston Center in the Texas Medical Center.

TWU’s College of Nursing was the official sponsor of the annual national conference for the American Association for the History of Nursing (AAHN) in Dallas, Sept. 19-21. AAHN promotes the appreciation and scholarship of nursing’s history to inform and shape nursing’s future.

TWU taps national nursing leader as new dean

Texas Woman’s University today announced that Rosalie Mainous, a former collegiate dean, NIH-funded researcher, and the current director of academic nursing development for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), will become dean of TWU’s College of Nursing, effective Aug. 5.
