What's In It For Me?

TWU Alumni with Oakley

Students

Pioneer Network gives you instant access to Texas Woman’s alumni in your academic area who already have committed to helping students with resumes, internships or mentoring opportunities. In addition, Pioneer Network allows you to connect with current TWU students who, like you, are interested in growing their professional network, sharing best practices and even getting together for study groups.

Alumni

Pioneer Network offers you the opportunity to grow your professional network with people who share your Texas Woman’s University experience. You may reach out to other alumni for advice as you advance in your career, connect with other Pioneers as you relocate to other parts of the nation or globe, and offer advice and help to students at Texas Woman’s University who ask to connect with you.

Friends

Pioneer Network welcomes those with ties to Texas Woman’s University because they have attended corporate events, serve now or in the past on one of the universities many committees and boards, have spoken to classes, or reached out to offer help and advice to faculty or students.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join Pioneer Network?

The simplest way to join is to twupioneernetwork.com and, using your LinkedIn profile, import your personal information. Take a couple extra seconds to personalize your profile by using drop-down menus to indicate your interest in helping other students or alumni with advice or mentoring. It will take you 90 seconds or less.

How does Pioneer Network differ from other social media platforms?

Pioneer Network is different because it allows you to identify Texas Woman’s University people who have intentionally indicated they want to help. And, if you do initially indicate your willingness to mentor, offer advice or greet new Pioneers in your city, and then for whatever reason, you change your mind, a simple click on your personal Pioneer Network profile takes you off the “Willing to Help” list.

I want to find classmates. Can I do that?

Go to the Directory tab on the Pioneer Network homepage. Use filters to select class year, degree, industry and more.

Is there a way to ask questions?

The feed on the Pioneer Network homepage offers a way to ask (and answer) questions. The feed expands so you can read more questions and comments from other Pioneers.

Will Pioneer Network sell me stuff?

No.

Will Pioneer Network send me emails?

Periodically, you will receive an email newsletter from Pioneer Network that will highlight a story, upcoming events or other information. It’s all on one page. If you want to read additional information, links will take you to individual stories.
