Honors Scholar Program
The Honors Scholar Program is open to:
- First time in college students
- Transfer students from another honors program/college
Guaranteed Scholarships
- All new first-year and transfer students receive an annual scholarship of $6500 or more
- Current TWU students admitted to the program in their sophomore year are awarded a $1500 annual Honors Achievement Scholarship.

The honors program is like having one big family here on campus. Everyone is supportive and looks out for one another. I have not met anyone in honors that did not encourage me to better myself and they look for opportunities to boost my confidence!
Honors Scholar Community

Mentorship
All honors students have the opportunity to work with a professor in their field of study. These project supervisors will advise you in your studies and work with you on special projects that you may eventually present or publish.
Living Learning Community (LLC)
First-year students can apply to join the Honors Emerging Scholar LLC. The community provides academic support and social programs. You will live on an honors floor in on-campus housing.
Athenian Honor Society
Join the official student organization for the Honors Scholar Program. Broaden your education with academic, cultural, and social experiences with other honors students.

Travel Abroad
All honors students and adult guests are welcome to join us on our annual travel abroad trip to Europe every January. Our students make lifelong friends and have the experience of a lifetime on these guided trips.
Events
We offer a number of social and cultural events to educate and inspire our students to engage in and appreciate their community.

The Honors Scholar Program has been nothing short of a blessing to me throughout my time at TWU. This program not only provided me with many opportunities, but it also provided me with a college family from whom I have received tremendous support and encouragement.
