Absences, Drops and Withdrawals
One of life’s inevitabilities is the “unexpected” – whether it materializes in the form of sickness, disease, death of a loved one, divorce, separation of family, economic hardship, demands at the workplace, caring for others, etc. – it is a significant change in events that often forces you off the designated path of coursework at TWU. Responses vary from individual to individual, and can take the form of being absent from class, dropping a course, or possibly withdrawing from the University altogether. As much as faculty members would like to have you engaged in their classes, there are times when you need to look critically at what life has brought before you, and sometimes the call is to step back from TWU and regroup so that you can, perhaps, return to class with a sharper focus and determined intellect.
