Programs & Admission Requirements
The School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) offers several graduate programs that prepare students for careers as librarians and information professionals. Choose the Master of Library Science (MLS) degree program or any of our other degree and certificate programs in specific subject areas. All SLIS programs are offered online in a highly interactive learning environment.
Master of Library Science (MLS)
The Master of Library Science (MLS) is the primary degree program in the School of Library and Information Studies. Students can choose from an MLS program track or work with faculty to develop an individualized plan of study to match their interests and career goals.
School Librarian Certification
- Master of Library Science (MLS) with Certificate in School Librarianship
- Post-Master's Certificate in School Librarianship - for students who already hold a master’s degree in library and information science or another discipline
Health Sciences Librarianship
- Dual MLS / MS Health Studies - students earn two powerful degrees at once
- Post-Master’s Certificate in Evidence-Based Health Science Librarianship - for students who already hold a master’s degree in library and information science or another discipline
NOTE: MLS students have the option to add the Post-Master’s Certificate in Evidence-Based Health Science Librarianship to their degree.
