COPE announces 2025-26 Research & Innovation Fellows

The College of Professional Education at Texas Woman’s University continues its Research & Innovation Fellowships initiative this year with assistant professors Rebecca Lucero Jones, PhD (Research) and Tara Zimmerman, PhD (Innovation). The Research & Innovation Fellowships are designed to support tenure-track faculty pursuing new research, grant-related work, and innovative projects.

American Library Association grants SLIS continued accreditation

The Master of Library Science (MLS) program in the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Woman’s University gained continued accreditation status from the American Library Association.

SLIS represented TWU at TLA 2025

The annual Texas Library Association (TLA) conference is a regular highlight in the calendar for the School of Library and Information Studies at TWU and that continued again in Dallas in April 2025.

Fulbright Scholar Chloé Vicente visits TWU

Chloé Vicente, the first Chilean to receive a Fulbright award in library science and the first Chilean to be a Fulbright scholar-in-residence at Illinois State University, heads to TWU for lectures that will bring a global perspective to the field of librarianship.

Aria joins SLIS faculty

With a background in academic and health science librarianship, Paria Aria, PhD, joined the School of Library and Information Studies in Fall 2024.
