American Association of University Professors/ American Federation of Teachers (AAUP/AFT)
The American Association of University Professors/ American Federation of Teachers (AAUP/AFT) is a nonprofit membership association of faculty and other academic professionals dedicated to advancing academic freedom and shared governance. AAUP/AFT is healdquartered in Washington, D.C., and has state conferences and university chapters across the country, including one at TWU.

Campus Alliance for Resource Education (CARE)
The CARE office supports student retention by addressing basic needs issues (hunger, housing, childcare, emergency aid). It also provides specific services and support for student veterans, parenting students and the Frontiers program (students with lived experience of foster care). Career Connections
The mission of the TWU Career Connections Center is to empower students and alumni to connect their academic experience with the world of work through personalized career guidance, leadership development, and workforce readiness initiatives. We provide professional development resources, meaningful employer engagement, and experiential opportunities that prepare individuals to succeed, lead, and adapt in an ever-changing global workplace.

Center for Research Design & Analysis (CRDA)
CRDA supports faculty with research design, statistical analysis, and grant preparation. Services include survey and qualitative design, data analysis with results documentation, and assistance refining aims, methods, and analysis plans for proposals.

Center for Student Research (CSR) / Office of STEM Collaborations and Initiatives (OSCI)
The Center for Student Research strives to enhance the educational experience of students by offering opportunities for meaningful engagement in faculty mentored research and creative activities.

Core Assessment
Did you know that when you teach a general education class at TWU, you’ll be required to submit examples of your students’ work so TWU can satisfy assessment mandates by the state government and our institutional accreditor? The Core Assessment Office can help you meet these obligations in ways that support rather than disrupt your goals as an educator.

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)
CAPS provides short-term therapy and consultation to students who are experiencing emotional and psychological problems that are interfering with their academic performance and personal well-being.

Disability Services for Students (DSS)
DSS works in partnership with students, faculty, staff, and guests of the University to eliminate or minimize barriers and facilitate inclusion on campus. We seek to establish disability culture as an essential aspect of diversity, vital to society and the TWU community.

Faculty Affairs
Faculty Affairs supports faculty and academic leaders through administrative guidance, faculty policies and procedures, appointments, promotion and tenure, leadership initiatives, and strategic programs that strengthen faculty success and institutional excellence.

Faculty Commons
Faculty Commons supports faculty in their teaching, scholarship, and service across all career stages. The unit offers individual and group consultations, one-time and ongoing programming, and targeted and open-call opportunities to empower faculty to thrive.

Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate is responsible for shared governance with the TWU Administration in that the Senate recommends academic policies and provides a voice for faculty concerns and issues germane to the Faculty Senate mandate that are pertinent to faculty at the individual, group, or department level.

Graduate School
The Graduate School supports students throughout their advanced academic journey, from initial enrollment to graduation. The unit ensures academic standards and provides resources, guidance, and professional development opportunities to help students succeed in their programs and beyond. The Graduate School also supports the faculty and staff that recruit, teach, mentor, and advise graduate students through the completion of their degrees.

Health and Wellbeing Initiative (HWI)
Health & Wellbeing Initiative (HWI) advances student thriving through five pillars: Build Well, Eat Well, Mind Well, Move Well, and Spend Well. Faculty can partner with HWI, request student wellbeing presentations, participate in Mental Health First Aid, and connect students with peer coaching, resources and campus wide programs.

International Affairs
International Affairs provides guidance and support for international efforts at TWU including International Student & Scholar Services and Education Abroad. Learn more about how you can globalize your experience at TWU, including Fulbright and other international teaching opportunities.

IT Solutions: End User Computing (EUC)
End User Computing (EUC) is IT Solutions’ dedicated on-site technical support team for the Denton campus. EUC provides comprehensive technology support for faculty and staff, as well as computer labs and computer classrooms. The team manages hardware and software configuration, device deployment, replacement and upgrade lifecycles, and day-to-day technical support to ensure the campus community has reliable, secure, and efficient technology resources.

IT Solutions: Learning Environments
The IT Solutions’ Learning Environments team ensures that learning spaces are equipped with reliable, up-to date instructional technology to support teaching and learning. Services include classroom technology setup and maintenance, troubleshooting, and training on instructional technology.

IT Solutions: Outreach & Engagement
The IT Solutions’ Outreach & Engagement team helps the TWU community successfully understand and use university technology. Services include communications, training, consultations, knowledge management, business process support, and technology adoption.

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP)
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is a centralized research administration office that provides direct support to researchers at TWU in various forms. Pre-award and post-award support is provided to TWU faculty, staff, and students who are seeking, or have received, external funding for their research and other sponsored programs. ORSP manages a number of internal funding and incentive programs for faculty research and oversees intellectual property. ORSP also supports research compliance.

Ombudsperson
The Faculty Ombudsperson is a faculty member whose purpose is to serve as a resource for all faculty members and professional librarians who have a problem or concern related to their work at the university. The Faculty Ombudsperson works with individuals across all academic components.

Amplify Your Impact is a campus resource for public facing teaching, scholarship, and creative work. We help faculty design assignments, activities, and student projects that connect learning to purpose, and we support faculty as they share their own expertise with audiences beyond the classroom, campus, or discipline.

Student Life Auxiliary Services
Student Life Auxiliary Services connects the campus community with essential dining and textbook resources through the Pioneer Kitchen and the Campus Store. Faculty can stop by to explore various dining choices, including specialized faculty meal plans. Additionally, information on faculty support resources is available via our campus partner, Follett.
