Why Study Business at TWU?
At TWU's College of Business, you’ll learn by doing. This is the place to test your business acumen, to dive head-first into experiences that will shape your outlook and set the stage for future success.
It may be providing help for homeless veterans in Denton, supporting a small business in Houston or assisting and educating the community on business matters such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy and tax preparation. But in the the end, your time here will change you for the better and empower you in ways you may have never expected.
The College of Business is now accredited from AACSB International —The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), considered the world’s leading association of business schools. Less than 6% of business schools worldwide have earned this distinction.
Your success is important to us.
We care about you — where you come from, who you are, who you want to be and how we can help you get there. If you’re the first from your family to attend college, don’t worry. We’ll help you figure it all out.
We offer a mix of in-the-classroom and online learning to fit your schedule and keep classes limited to 45 students to foster a personal learning environment. We keep our programs competitively priced, making your education accessible and affordable.
You’ll learn through active experiences.
There’s nothing passive about your time here. Your experiences in the classroom and in the field will form the foundation of your education. To demonstrate this commitment to active learning, we participate in the Cooperative Education & Internships program, which allows you to gain professional work experience prior to graduation.

AFS. ALPFA. AMA. IMA. NANA. NSLS. SHRM. SHAO. WACC. It may read like alphabet soup, but the list of student organizations within the College of Business can help build those networks so critical in the business world.
These organizations allow you to learn about potential careers and network with fellow students and working professionals who share your passion. Coupled with the supportive faculty you’ll encounter every day, you’ll be confident in not just what you know but who you know.
You’ll be part of our family.
We’re a rich and varied tapestry of cultures and lifestyles at TWU and we’d love for you to be a part of it. We understand you’re trying to balance work, life, and family — and have resources here to help you do so.

“TWU has been invaluable in giving me real-world experience through class projects, on-campus internships and student assistantships.
