Hoffman awarded $75,000 grant supporting rural students

Texas rural libraries are in line for a boost thanks to a Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) tuition grant in the amount of $75,000 awarded to School of Library and Information Studies Director Gretchen Hoffman, PhD.

Myers receives award for outstanding teaching

Associate Professor Aimée Myers, PhD, of Literacy and Learning, was awarded the H. Prentice Baptiste Outstanding Teaching for Postsecondary Faculty Award from the Texas chapter of the National Association of Multicultural Education.

TWU EPP designated Texas Reading Academy provider

The Texas Woman’s Educator Preparation Program (EPP) in the College of Professional Education was approved as a Texas Reading Academies authorized provider. 

Faculty, students, alumni to represent TWU at AERA

Faculty, students and alumni from Literacy and Learning and Teacher Education in the College of Professional Education will represent TWU at the country's premier educational research conference — the 2024 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in Philadelphia April 11-14. 

Digital Days virtual summer camp returns for 6th year

The popular STEM-based summer camp Digital Days offered by Literacy and Learning in the College of Professional Education enters its sixth year. This year's camp will be Tuesday, June 18 - Thursday, June 20, for the first 20 children, ages 4-8, registered.
