The School of Education at Texas Woman’s University is giving prospective early childhood teachers a better chance at a bachelor’s degree and Texas teacher certification through a $175,000 grant from Houston Endowment.

The College of Professional Education at Texas Woman’s University continues its Research & Innovation Fellowships initiative this year with assistant professors Rebecca Lucero Jones, PhD (Research) and Tara Zimmerman, PhD (Innovation). The Research & Innovation Fellowships are designed to support tenure-track faculty pursuing new research, grant-related work, and innovative projects.
TWU, Mesquite ISD team up to address teacher shortage

Texas Woman’s University continues to create innovative ways to address the drastic Texas teacher shortage. The latest is Teach Mesquite, a partnership with the Mesquite Independent School District funded by Educate Texas at Communities Foundation of Texas.
American Library Association grants SLIS continued accreditation
