Committee Members and Charges, 2024-25

Undergraduate Curriculum Committee

The Undergraduate Committee acts on behalf of the faculty in oversight of undergraduate curriculum and works with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs on any issues pertaining to undergraduate programs and curriculum. The committee:

  • Ensures currency and relevance of undergraduate curriculum core and concentrations
  • Reviews proposals for new or revised undergraduate programs
  • Conducts reviews of undergraduate programs for reporting purposes as needed
  • The Chair represents the College at the undergraduate council when curriculum changes are pending

Graduate Curriculum Committee

The Graduate Committee acts on behalf of the faculty in oversight of the graduate curriculum and works with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs on any issues pertaining to graduate programs and curriculum. The committee:

  • Ensures currency and relevance of graduate curriculum core and concentrations
  • Reviews proposals for new or revised graduate programs
  • Conducts reviews of graduate programs for reporting purposes as needed
  • The Chair represents the College at the graduate council when curriculum changes are pending
  • Evaluate study tour proposals

Members

Assessment Committee

The Assessment Committee is responsible for working with faculty in the College disciplines and the discipline leads to develop and maintain outcomes assessment plans for their respective degrees or concentrations. The committee:

  • Coordinates College assessment in accordance with TWU’s assessment process
  • Coordinates assessment plans and ensures compliance with AACSB and SACS standards
  • Assists in developing and implementation of assurance of learning processes that integrates data collection through the creation of rubrics and measurement protocols
  • Oversees the development and delivery of assurance of learning reports as needed for periodic reviews or annual reporting to the university Office of Institutional Improvement
  • Conducts the AACSB-based 360 evaluation (closing of the loop) of assessment results and provides recommendations for continuous improvement. Oversees the implementation of the recommendations and prepares the required reports.

Strategic Planning Committee

The Strategic Planning Committee acts on behalf of the faculty in developing, reviewing and revising elements of the College strategic plan. The committee:

  • Provides input to the College mission, vision and values
  • Develops a draft of the College Strategic Plan
  • Assures alignment of strategic goals with its mission and the university mission
  • The chair represents the College in university strategic planning as required

Research & Scholarship Committee

The Research & Scholarship committee is responsible for developing the research policies of the College as they relate to the AACSB standards, and evaluates the scholarship activity of faculty for purposes of identifying compliance to the AACSB standards.

Peer Review Committee

The Peer Review Committee is the first level of review in the faculty performance review process especially as related to Promotion and Tenure decisions.

Participation on this committee is limited to tenured faculty and members must be voted on by the tenured or tenure-track faculty.

The team consists of College of Business administration. It serves in an advisory capacity to the Dean.
