Alumna’s devotion to service shaped by education

Vicki Byrd didn’t know anything about Denton when her best friend asked her to attend Texas Woman’s University with her. Since then, she’s worked, raised a family, and now represents her adopted hometown as a member of the Denton City Council.

Higher education veteran to lead TWU enrollment activities

Texas Woman’s University has selected a veteran administrator and higher education consultant to oversee strategies for managing the institution’s enrollment.

Javier Flores, who has held key leadership positions at Angelo State University, Howard College and New Mexico State University, will become Texas Woman’s associate vice president for enrollment management on April 4.

TWU regent, husband expand scholarship program with $100K gift

Continuing a commitment to help students succeed academically, a Texas Woman’s University regent and her husband have pledged another $100,000 gift to the university to expand a scholarship program that covers four years of tuition and fees for five Denton High School graduates.

TWU Book Series launches first publication with author event

Texas Woman’s University is celebrating the publication of Making Space for Women: Stories from Trailblazing Women of NASA’s Johnson Space Center, the first book in the TWU Book Series, with a reading and talk by author Jennifer M. Ross-Nazzal on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 6 p.m. in the Student Union at Hubbard Hall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
