Advising Enrichment Series Committee
The Advising Enrichment Series (AES) committee is an advisor-led professional development planning committee comprised of full-time undergraduate and graduate advisors at Texas Woman’s University.
The committee is responsible for providing educational opportunities and leadership development to new and experienced advisors to support the professional growth, development, and professionalization of advisors across the university.
Orientation & Workshop
The AES committee also coordinates the annual summer orientation training and advisor workshop in May.
This day-long event provides departmental updates from campus partners across the university to prepare advisors for summer orientation, while the afternoon workshop involves small group discussions about popular advising topics between new and experienced academic advisors.

College Advising Leadership Meeting (CALM)
The CALM Team meets throughout the year to collaborate and discuss important advising issues facing undergraduate students at Texas Woman’s University. The group is led by the associate director of University Academic Advising.
Membership is comprised of senior advising leadership from each academic college or department. This team is responsible for disseminating advising information to advisors and making sure that there is consistency in our advising practices across the institution.
