Julian Cobos

Julian Cobos

Buenas tardes Pioneers! I am Julian Cobos, a senior majoring in nutrition with an emphasis in wellness. I am one of the undergrad nutrition coaches-in-training here at the Health and Wellbeing Initiative! My personal nutrition philosophy is that there is room for all foods in our diets and food is meant to be enjoyed. You deserve to eat foods that bring you joy, honor your culture, and keep you satisfied all while achieving your goals! I can't wait to get to know each of you and learn how we can integrate your version of self care into your lifestyle. See you soon!

Cindy Hong

Cindy Hong

My name is Cindy! I am a senior at TWU as a Nutrition major with an emphasis in Dietetics. At HWI, I am an Undergraduate Assistant working with A Nourishing Space as a nutrition/wellness coach.

With nutrition, I want to help individuals with their journey towards food freedom and how to reconnect with their bodies in a positive way through the various forms of wellness, such as food, sleep, physical activity, and overall self-care as a future RDN. Your wellness journey is different from others, so it is important to take it one step at a time! Remember to celebrate the small wins and treat yourself to something fun. We’re here to work with you collaboratively to reach your wellness goals, so please feel free to stop by and say hello!

Sam Honse

Sam Honse

My name is Samantha and I am a dietetics post-baccalaureate student here at TWU! You will see me around campus with some sort of coffee on me; it is my weakness! Here at the Health & Wellness Initiative, I am a health coach, which is perfect because my master's degree is in Lifestyle Health and Wellness Coaching from UNTHSC! I am continuing my education because I hope to be able to work as a registered dietitian in the oncology unit of hospitals.

My personal philosophy is that a healthy diet and behaviors can be the best form of preventative medicine! The best form of medicine, in my opinion, is the kind that prevents illness. College is the perfect time to figure out what works best for you to keep your unique body healthy and strong! If you are interested, I'd love to talk with you!

Miteshri Prajapati

Namaste pioneers! I am Miteshri Prajapati, a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Nutrition Sciences and a certified nutrition coach for A Nourishing Space program. Having spent 12 years studying nutrition, I believe food, eating, and hunger as fundamental needs vary from person to person and one's health is not determined solely by "what" they choose to eat. It rather looks at when, why, where, and how a person eats. Through nutrition coaching and consultation we are taking a step further to dive deeper into these questions and help our clients reach their health goals more holistically.
