Application Fee

The application fee is a processing fee.  For each application submitted, the application fee must be paid, even if the applicant does not attend TWU.  

Application fees are non-refundable.

  • Domestic applicants (US Citizens and PR Card Holders) will pay a $50 application fee.
  • International applicants (anyone not a US Citizen or PR Card Holder) will pay a $75 application fee
    • Applicants who are considered international for admissions purposes are still eligible to receive in-state tuition if they meet the residency requirements.
    • You can submit a Core Residency Questionnaire with the Registrar to qualify for in-state tuition after acceptance.

Fee waivers

College application fee waivers are available for some undergraduate and graduate students. All College application fee waivers should be submitted through our Application Fee Waiver Form.

Please make sure your form is completed and signed before submitting your form.

The following application fee waivers are accepted online for each application type. If you have a different type of waiver than those listed here, please email SRP@twu.edu.

First-year applicants

NACAC, SAT, or ACT—available from your high school counselor.

Transfer applicants

TRiO participants can get a letter of participation from their TRiO program coordinator.

Applicants who have completed the FAFSA and are Pell Grant eligible may qualify for a NACAC fee waiver. You must complete the following steps to qualify for the waiver:

  • Complete the NACAC transfer waiver;
  • Download a copy of your FAFSA Submission Summary showing that you are Pell Grant Eligible.
  • Combine the waiver and the FAFSA Summary into a single PDF document and submit the document through our submission form.

Graduate applicants

McNair Scholars can submit a McNair Scholar Participation Certification form (available from your McNair Scholar office).

TWU students who are in the final semester before earning their undergraduate degree or who received a TWU undergraduate degree within the past year are eligible to submit an Alumni Advantage waiver.

  • TWU students who completed a graduate degree are not eligible.
  • Alumni Advantage waivers are available for ONE graduate application.
  • Please read the information at the link above for instructions on applying your Alumni Advantage waiver.
