Our Top Tips

• You do not need to be accepted or admitted to a program to be eligible to apply for scholarships. However, scholarships will not be awarded until you are accepted.
• Submit all of your required documents (such as transcripts and test scores) as soon as possible. This information will help narrow your scholarship options and help you be "auto-matched" for possible New Student Scholarships. 
• Meet deadlines. Do not wait until the last minute or deadline date to complete the application(s). Some organizations require official transcripts and/or letters of reference. Allow time to assemble all required information.
• Read through the scholarship information and application before writing on the application form
• Follow directions explicitly
• Only submit requested information. Additional information may result in your application not being favorably considered. Do not submit letters of recommendation, photos, resumes or transcripts unless they are requested.
• If you are asked to write an essay, use accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Have someone proofread your work.
• Be sure to check your TWU email regularly for any offer notifications.
• Follow the instructions provided on the email notification and offer letter to accept any scholarship offers and submit the post-acceptance questionnaire responses for scholarships that require this extra step.
