Texas Leadership Scholars Program
The Texas Leadership Scholars Program, supported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), was established to offer a premier leadership program to high achieving Texas high school graduates to pursue their higher education. The program will connect cohorts of participating students with peer and professional networks and mentors, support leadership development, provide opportunities for undergraduate research, and offer job skills such as resume writing, social media use, communication, and collaboration.

Scholarship Awards
The TX Scholar award amount is determined annually based on the cost of attendance at TWU, including tuition, fees, on-campus housing and meal plan. The actual amount of the award will vary for each scholar, depending on other scholarship awards, federal grants and the ability of the scholar's family to contribute to the cost of college.
The THECB provides a last dollar scholarship to cover up to the total cost of attendance for four years. All final decisions regarding eligibility of the Texas Leadership Scholarship awards and award amounts are made by the THECB.
