Pioneer Hall Reservations

Pioneer Hall is a 140,000-square-foot facility located on the Texas Woman’s University Denton campus. It houses the School of Health Promotion & Kinesiology, TWU Athletics, and a variety of academic and recreational spaces including classrooms, dance studios, racquetball courts, a natatorium and Kitty Magee Arena. The arena serves as a multi-purpose gym used for athletics, intramurals, and large-scale events.

Please read the below information on how to reserve Pioneer Hall spaces for classes, meetings, practices and special events.

Facility Information

Pioneer Hall Reservation Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Reservation Costs & Guidelines

Pioneer Hall is available for reservations by TWU student organizations, departments, and external groups. Costs vary based on affiliation and timing.

Internal Groups (TWU Student Orgs & Departments)

  • Submit reservations via Mazévo at least 7 days in advance.
  • Requests made 2–6 days in advance incur a Rush Fee.
  • Requests made less than 48 hours in advance will not be approved.

External Groups

Must coordinate reservations through Conference Services webpage

Internal Deposit & Cancellation Policy

Deposit

  • A 50% deposit is required one week prior to a reservation start date. Failure to pay the required deposit will result in the cancellation of the reservation.

Final Payment

  • The remainder of the payment is due one week after the reservation. If multiple dates for the same event are booked, the remainder of the payment is due one week from the last reserved date.

Cancellation

  • To receive 50% of your deposit, cancellations must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled reservation start time. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

External Reservation Rates

External groups should reach out to Conference Services and request a quote through Conference Services. Their information can be found at this link. 

Reservation Policies

  • Rooms must be returned in original condition with all equipment intact.
  • Report any issues upon arrival to staff in Pioneer Hall 209.
  • Failure to leave rooms in good condition may result in denial of future reservations.
  • All attendees must vacate the room by the scheduled end time.
  • Only prepackaged snacks are allowed. Full meals and home-cooked food are not permitted.

    • We strive to support all events, but cancellations may occur if staffing is unavailable. If canceled due to internal issues, deposits will be refunded.
