Comprehensive autism assessments are now offered through the Woodcock Autism Assessment Clinic (WAAC) in partnership with the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center.

Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for initial assessments or re-evaluation purposes are available for children with concerns related to Autism Spectrum Disorder between the ages of 12 months and 18 years.

Our comprehensive assessments will provide information regarding cognitive, academic, language, developmental, adaptive, social, emotional and behavioral skills as well as current functioning levels. Each assessment includes recommendations for intervention and support. The clinic is held at the KFAC each Thursdays during the Fall and Spring semester. Insurance and private pay accepted.

Denton Record-Chronicle: New autism assessment center to expand testing options for North Texas families

An autism assessment clinic opened in the Fall of 2020 at the University of North Texas: Kristin-Farmer Autism Center. The goal is to help mitigate wait times by offering local families another option for autism spectrum disorder assessments. Created through a partnership between Texas Woman’s University’s Woodcock Institute and the University of North Texas, the Woodcock Autism Assessment Clinic will offer ASD testing for children ages 18 months to 18 years. Referrals and questions should be directed to the Kristin-Farmer Autism Center 940-369-5373. 

TWU, UNT partner to expand autism assessment access

The Texas Woman’s University Woodcock Institute and Department of Psychology and Philosophy are partnering with the University of North Texas Kristin Farmer Autism Center to create a new joint clinic that will increase access to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessment services across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
