Cultivate your visual voice in our dynamic undergraduate studio art program with opportunities to explore drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, installation, digital fabrication, video and more.

Course offerings include introductory, intermediate and advanced classes in traditional techniques interwoven with innovative practices. Our curriculum is rooted in theoretical approaches, art history, conceptual development and the process of making.

With an interdisciplinary approach, students focus on one of three areas:

  • 3D Intermedia (including Ceramics, Sculpture and Digital Fabrication)
  • Painting and Drawing
  • Photography

Admission requirements

Undergraduate Admission

When you apply to TWU, we will evaluate your academic achievement and preparation, as well as your standardized test scores. Admission to TWU is valid for four terms, unless you have attended another higher education institution.

Admission to the B.F.A. in Art (Graphic Design and Studio Art)

All applicants must meet the general undergraduate admission requirements.

In addition, all students must submit a portfolio to SlideRoom consisting of a PDF that includes name, artist’s statement, and 10 high-quality images of the applicant’s strongest artwork, each on its own page and captioned with title, media, dimensions, and date completed.
