TWU Regents approve construction for sports facility

On Aug. 9, the Texas Woman’s University Board of Regents authorized construction of an $11.5 million sports building to support the university’s existing soccer, softball and intramural programs as well as future competitive sports.

TWU launches Nancy P. and Thaddeus E. Paup Lecture Series

A new lecture series, hosted by the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University, will launch Sept. 19 in North Texas. Created through a donation from Nancy P. and Thaddeus E. Paup, the series kicks off with a talk by Kathryn Childers, who was hired in 1970 as one of the first five female U.S. Secret Service agents.

Nursing Group names TWU alumna ‘Living Legend’

A Texas Woman’s University Distinguished Alumna recognized nationally and internationally for her work advancing nursing education will be honored as a “Living Legend” this fall by the American Academy of Nursing.

Texas Woman's launches biliteracy certificate program

This fall, Texas Woman’s University launches a new graduate certificate in biliteracy, the only one of its kind in the state. Educators can earn the certificate with the option of applying the credits toward a master’s degree in reading education.
