Leadership Lies that are Sabotaging Effectiveness
Why can’t people just do their jobs?! Are you tired of having the same performance discussion with employees? If this sounds familiar, there is hope! It is possible to hold others accountable, increase productivity, develop strong interpersonal relationships, and get your job done! But first, you must debunk the leadership lies that could be keeping you from reaching your full potential.
Walk through your day-to-day real-life leadership challenges in this 45-minute workshop with an experienced professional leadership coach and uncover the benefits of transitioning from a leader who manages short-term fixes to one that facilitates sustainable change. The workshop will emphasize challenges presented to women leaders in their transition from managing leader to leader-coach and how male counterparts can support women leaders and promote advancement in their own teams.
Session Objectives:
- Clearly distinguish between a managing leader and a LEADER-COACH
- Discuss the benefits of shifting leadership styles from managing to facilitating
- Leave with techniques that can be applied immediately to increase effectiveness

Leading for Success
The Center for Creative Leadership identifies self-awareness, learning agility, communication and influence as the four fundamental traits needed by all leaders to be successful. During the sessions, we will explore each of these traits to understand how our behavior impacts organizational outcomes, understand how to course correct, explore how to communicate in a way that inspires trust, and increase comfort in persuading, delegating and promoting, particularly as it relates to women leaders. During both sessions, participants will engage in 45-minute facilitated discussions, self – explorations and exercises to understand how our “leadership brand” impacts our team’s success. Each session will also discuss how women leaders can use and explore these skills to grow the leadership potential of themselves and the women that work with them.
