Health Studies and Public Health Internships

Undergraduate health studies students are required to complete at least 350 hours of internship experience. The current Health Studies and Public Health Internship Manual and the current list of approved sites provide additional information.

Kinesiology Internships

Undergraduate kinesiology students are required to complete at least 350 hours of internship experience. You can choose whether you want to do 350 hours at a cardiac rehabilitation or a corporate fitness location.

The current Kinesiology Practicum/Internship Manual and the current list of approved sites provide additional information. Other locations are subject to SHPK approval.

Outstanding Student Awards

This award recognizes exceptional academic achievements, leadership qualities, and community involvement. One award will be given for each level of student in the School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology: Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral. Applications for the 2026 award cycle will open in January 2026.
