The Next Step toward College Success

FAST Forward is a new, fully online, asynchronous college readiness program offered by Texas Woman’s University — designed especially for young people across Texas who have lived experience in the foster care system.

Through FAST Forward and EdReady, you can take the next step on your college journey — on your own schedule, from wherever you are. This four-week program helps you build confidence, prepare for college, and connect with a supportive community that understands your story and your goals.

What You’ll Gain

  • Strategies for time management, communication, and study success
  • Guidance for completing a TWU FAST Academy application, if desired
  • Connections with TWU faculty who specialize in helping foster care alumni thrive

Format: 100% Online, Asynchronous (complete activities within one of the four-week, self-paced sessions)

Eligibility: Youth and young adults in Texas with lived experience in the foster care
Length: 4 weeks

Enrollment & Program Timeline

Currently, FAST Forward is accepting applications for February, March, and April. Key dates include:
Enrollment Deadline: April 1
Course Completion Deadline: April 30
Students may enroll at any point before April 1 and will have until April 30 to complete the course.
