The Next Step toward College Success

FAST Forward is a new, fully online, asynchronous college readiness program offered by Texas Woman’s University — designed especially for young people across Texas who have lived experience in the foster care system.

Through FAST Forward, you can take the next step on your college journey — on your own schedule, from wherever you are. This four-week program helps you build confidence, prepare for college, and connect with a supportive community that understands your story and your goals.

What You’ll Gain

• A clearer picture of what college life is like — from classes to campus support
• Strategies for time management, communication, and study success
• Guidance for completing a TWU FAST Academy application, if desired
• Connections with TWU faculty who specialize in helping foster care alumni thrive
• A certificate of completion recognizing your achievement
• TWU-branded backpack filled with supplies (upon successful completion)

Program Details

Format: 100% Online, Asynchronous (complete activities within one of the four-week, self-paced sessions)
Cost: Free to participants
Eligibility: Youth and young adults in Texas with lived experience in the foster care
Length: 4 weeks (Feb. 2–27 or Apr 2–30)
