CONSTRUCTION ZONE SAFETY REMINDER
Facilities Management & Construction (FMC) reminds all those working, living, and attending classes throughout the campus to be observant when in the vicinity of construction sites, utility work, and other work zones. FMC issues email notifications to faculty and staff, as well as posting information on our main website and here regarding various projects and other obstructions to pathways, streets, equipment, areas and facilities. Please watch for these announcements to help ensure your safe and unhindered movement throughout the campus.
Please be observant of your surroundings while walking, driving, or operating motorized carts and utility vehicles throughout the campus and observe signage, fencing and other barriers. Never enter a fenced area.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Brackenridge, ACT, Administration Drive
Issue:
Ongoing construction will impact the areas around Brackenridge Hall and Administrative Conference Tower (ACT) as well as along Administration Drive.
As part of the sewer line work, access to the Visitor Parking Lot and various parking spaces along Administration Drive, including the ParkMobile spaces, will be limited until Jan. 1. While not all spaces will be unavailable, visitors as well as faculty, staff, and students should plan to seek alternative parking options.
One-way traffic will be available along Administration Drive, and parking along the Hubbard-side of the road will not be impacted by the construction. Additionally, a section of Oakland Street in the same vicinity will be closed to all thru traffic at some point during this portion of construction, although the specific location and date(s) are not yet available.
Please be observant of your surroundings while walking, driving, or operating motorized carts and utility vehicles throughout the campus and observe signage, fencing and other barriers. Never enter a fenced area.
