Obtaining a PCard

A PCard is a privilege granted to full time TWU faculty and staff and must be used in a responsible and appropriate manner. Therefore, in order to obtain a PCard, an applicant must complete a training module before receiving the PCard. Credit Card Services will gladly assist potential cardholders in determining how a PCard can help streamline their purchasing needs.

Below are the steps necessary to obtain a PCard (both department and individual):

  1. Complete the required training in Bridge.  Individual PCard Training or Department PCard Training
  2. The employee will submit a request through Concur.  Visit the Credit Card Services Website for instructions.
  3. If approved, the request will be sent to Credit Card Services for processing.
  4. Credit Card Services will request completion of the appropriate Agreement Form.
  5. Once all requirements are met, the PCard will be ordered.  Please allow 7-10 business days for cards to arrive once ordered.
  6. When the card arrives, Credit Card Services will distribute the card to the cardholder with a Tax Exemption Card.
  7. All cardholders will attend refresher training in Bridge when a new PCard is issued due to fraudulent activities, card expiration, card suspension, or once a year, whichever comes first.

Activating the PCard

The cardholder or primary reconciler is required to activate their card with U.S. Bank.  Please review the How to Activate Your U.S. Bank Card Website for instructions.
