New Executive Director
Pleased to announce that Dr. Wendi Johnson will assume the duties of the Executive Director of the Woodcock Institute on September 1, 2025. Dr. Johnson comes to us from the TWU School of Social Work, Psychology, and Philosophy where she was an Associate Professor, member of the Core School Psychology faculty, and Practicum & Internship Coordinator. She is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology in Texas. Please welcome her to her new position.
Dr. Dan Miller retired from TWU on August 31, 2025 after 35 years at TWU. The past ten years he served as the founding executive director of the Woodcock Institute and prior to that he was a full professor and department chair of Psychology and Philosophy at TWU.

What we support
- interdisciplinary research into the cognitive profiles of individuals with diagnosed exceptionalities (learning disabilities, neuropsychological conditions, behavioral and psychiatric disorders, and giftedness),
- the advancement of effective clinical assessment practices and the dissemination of research findings through direct professional development opportunities and publications and applied evidence-based assessment.
