The Student Government Association (SGA) represents the collective voice of the student body at Texas Woman’s . SGA is comprised of an Executive Branch (General Assembly and First-Year Leaders on Campus), a Legislative Branch (Student Senate) and a Judicial Branch (Supreme Court and Elections Commission). Student Government AssociationSorority and Fraternity Life at TWU promotes and supports career networking, diversity, leadership, friendship, athletics and community service. The TWU Greek community composed of 12 chapters that represent the College Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Multicultural Greek Council.
Sorority and Fraternity LifeThe Graduate Student Council (GSC) at Texas Woman's University is the advocacy and community-building organization for TWU's graduate students. The GSC operates with a senate and an executive council.
Graduate Student CouncilCivic engagement empowers students to make a difference in their community. Civic participation or civic engagement is any individual or group activity that addresses issues of public concern. Civic engagement includes communities working together or individuals working alone in both political and non-political actions to protect public values or make a change in the community. At TWU, students can become civically engaged in a variety of ways, including joining SGA or Pioneers Vote.
Civic EngagementPioneer Engage is an online platform primarily for student organizations and involvement. As a student, you can search for organizations, find involvement opportunities and events, track your service hours, and generate records for your involvement.
As an organization, you can maintain rosters, organization documents (i.e. constitution/by-laws, etc.), create forms, run elections, utilize the discussion feature, and advertise events and so much more.

Service offers a variety of opportunities for all students to serve their local and regional communities. Students can get involved with Alternative Weekend Breaks, Alternative Spring Break, Lunch & Learns and the Helping Hands Service Ambassadors. Students can even schedule an appointment to find service projects that fit their individual passions.
Service Initiatives
Participation in leadership development is an integral part of a student's college experience. Students are encouraged to take advantage of both formal leadership development programs and informal opportunities to develop their personal and professional skills.
