How to Join

Requirements

Membership in a Greek-lettered organization at TWU will vary depending on the organization in which you are interested. While some organizations will allow first-semester students, others will have more extensive requirements, including minimum GPA requirements (usually 2.5 cumulative GPA) and full-time enrollment status (12 credit hours) at TWU. Some chapters have higher GPA requirements.

Process

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

The Multicultural Greek Council recruits on an individual chapter basis. If you are interested in a particular chapter (Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority, and Sigma Delta Lambda), please contact them directly and follow them on social media to see their Recruitment Week flyers.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

If you are interested in one of the three NPHC sororities (Alpha Kappa Alpha, Zeta Phi Beta, and Sigma Gamma Rho) you are encouraged to follow them on social media and attend their events throughout the year. You will need to attend the informational/interest meeting for the specific organization of interest and meet the organization's qualifications.

Panhellenic Council (PC)

At TWU we have three Panhellenic Sororities (Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, and Sigma Sigma Sigma).  During the fall semester, they will host a formal recruitment process where you can meet all chapters and participate in a mutual selection process. For more information visit the Panhellenic Council Recruitment page. After Panhellenic Recruitment in the fall, if chapters have room in their membership, they will host additional recruitment events in the fall and spring.
