Compliance
Compliance is good management. It means employing high ethical standards in research and in the stewardship of University resources, following all laws and rules governing sponsored projects. TWU’s acceptance of a funding award implies acceptance of all terms and conditions set forth by the funding agency and a commitment to comply with all laws and regulations governing the award. TWU must be able to verify compliance through documentation and University records. Principal Investigators who are familiar with their project guidelines will have little difficulty remaining in compliance. Guidelines can usually be found in the award terms and conditions, agency regulations such as the NIH Grants Policy Statement, governing federal guidelines such as the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars, proposal requirements, or sponsor websites.
