OT and nursing students participate in fieldwork readiness lab

Dallas and Denton graduate students in the School of Occupational Therapy collaborated with senior students from the College of Nursing and rotated through a simulation lab in Dallas. 

OT and nursing collaborate with mobility clinic

The Texas Woman’s School of Occupational Therapy and the College of Nursing have had a strong interprofessional relationship that goes back many years. Every semester, OT and nursing students work together and learn from each other in an activity and mobility lab.

Students work with prosthetics at IPE event

Texas Woman’s physical therapy students worked alongside orthotics and prosthetics students from the Baylor College of Medicine during an interprofessional event in April in Houston.

Joshua Gold, PhD, a professor in the School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology was one of two panelists at the “Facing the DFW Health Crisis” event presented by the Alliance for Healthcare Innovation. 

TWU Houston campus hosts Texas IPE Consortium

Texas Woman’s faculty and students will have the opportunity to collaborate with IPE professionals and peers from all over the state of Texas when the TWU Houston campus hosts the Texas IPE Consortium on April 20. The annual meeting includes speakers, lightning talk sessions, workshops and interactive demonstrations.
