First-Gen Internship Prep Program
The First-Generation Internship Prep Program is a virtual program, designed to prepare first-generation undergraduate students to apply for internships and connect with professionals in the workforce.
Program schedule:
- Week 1: Job Searching Tips & Strategies
- Week 2: Personal Branding & Application Materials
- Week 3: Interview Preparation
- Week 4: Mock-Interviews
- Week 5: Guest Speaker/Panel
Recommended for students in their third or fourth year of school and students who have work experience, student leadership, volunteer experience, academic research projects.
*Student does not need to be a first-generation college student to apply. All majors are encouraged to apply. Program is virtual.
Fall 2024 Cohort
- Week 1: Thursday, October 10, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
- Week 2: Thursday, October 17, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
- Week 3: Thursday, October 24, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
- Week 4: Thursday, October 31, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
- Week 5: Thursday, November 7, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
Apply for the Fall 2024 First-Generation Internship Prep program
Applications will open in late June and close on Thursday, October 3 at 12 (noon). Late applications will not be accepted. Must be logged in to your TWU Gmail to access application.
