TWU’s Center for Women in Business welcomes Disney Institute to Houston

Disney Institute is bringing its renowned professional development course, Disney’s Approach to Leadership Excellence, to Houston on June 7, 2018. Sponsored by Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women in Business, the one-day event will help area professionals explore how they could begin to identify the personal and organizational values that drive them as a leader to carry out their organization’s vision and their role in operationalizing culture-building and team support.

Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women in Business announced the recipients of its inaugural Women’s Enterprise Training and Micro Grant Program.

Texas Woman’s education abroad director selected for leadership academy

Annie Phillips, Ph.D., director of Texas Woman’s University’s Education Abroad department, has been selected to participate in the Leadership Academy for New Senior International Officers. Phillips is one of only 17 international education leaders in the United States who will attend the academy this year, which will be held in May at Duke University.

TWU Jamison Lecture to feature political perspectives from female journalists

Two American political reporters will speak at Texas Woman’s University’s third annual Jamison Lecture, beginning at 7 p.m., March 28 on the university’s Denton campus. The lecture, titled "Covering the Trump Presidency: Perspectives from Women Journalists", will be held in the Multipurpose Classroom Laboratory Building auditorium on North Bell Avenue. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Internationally recognized author, political fundraiser to lead new TWU center

Texas Woman's University has tapped Nancy Bocskor—nicknamed a "Democracy Coach" by a major German newspaper—to lead the university's new Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy beginning in September.
