Personal/Prohibited Expenses
The following are examples of personal/prohibited expenses:
- Transportation to/from meals
- Venmo transaction
- Lost or stolen items
- Hygiene items
- Over-the-counter medicine
- State hotel occupancy tax on hotels in Texas
- Optional insurance (LDW, CDW) on rental cars
- Alcoholic beverages (unless previously approved and on a discretionary gift account)
- Damage to personal vehicles, clothing, or other personal items
- Services to gain entry to a locked vehicle
- Movie charges on hotel bills
- Expenses resulting from personal negligence of traveler (such as fines and towing)
- Entertainment expenses
- Expenses for children, spouses, and companions during business travel
- Hotel room safe/deposit box
