TWU – Center for Women Entrepreneurs is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the CWE Virtual Accelerator program on Jun 11, 2024.

The Center for Women Entrepreneurs is excited to meet the needs of business owners who require a virtual option to participate in an accelerator. The Accelerator will provide early and idea-stage entrepreneurs with resources and education to accelerate their companies into scalable and successful businesses. The program will meet for 12 weeks plus the final presentation.

This training program will work through the KauffmanFastTrac® curriculum. Kauffman FastTrac® aims to lower the barriers to entrepreneurship by providing practical learning materials, delivered online through teaching partners, including The Center for Women Entrepreneurs. Two cohorts will be formed allowing twenty Texas businesses to participate in this intensive training program facilitated by TWU – Center for Women Entrepreneurs.

This program will provide the CWE Virtual Accelerator cohort with the following:

• Direct access to a business advisor and mentors during and after the program.
• Intensive entrepreneurial training from industry experts on vital business resources and processes.
• Virtual Introductions to grow their network throughout Texas
• Access to business plan software to complete a comprehensive business plan.

Important dates and information

• Applications open Jun 11, 2024
• Applications close Jun 25, 2024
• Applicants notified by July 2, 2024
• Class Dates: July 11 – Sept 26
• Final presentations Oct 3, 2024

Each cohort will meet twice weekly:

• One session will be class time and one session will be a virtual drop-in option for assistance with homework..
• Participants will be allowed to choose between an evening or a daytime cohort.
• Evening sessions will be held on Thursdays from 6:00 – 7:30 PM
• Daytime sessions will be held on Thursdays from 12:00 – 1:30 PM

The program requires approximately 3 hours per week to complete assignments.
